Now we have reached the end of the year and this blog's life.
Overall, the experience has been rather hectic. Much work and dedication goes into keeping up such a thing.
I had little respect and little thought devoted to the blogesphere when I began my journey as a naive blogger. Now, however, I realize that this blogging thing is no joke. Gathering information and formulating a topic is only half the battle. To be a journalist and a blogger may very well be twice the work as being a journalist for a news paper or a magazine. Not only was I a journalist, but I also was editor, designer, and producer of all my stories. Blogging comes with much responsibility and power.
There are no checks and balances on the world wide web, but for the people who read the information. Public journalism has entered a new realm of possibility, as an ordinary average citizen may report on matters, especially situations that may not immediately be reported on by other commercialized news efforts, such as local events.
When it all is said and done, the public has the power in a democracy. What is said will be said, what is done will be done, and everyone still has to eat... so blogging about food could never be thrown aside.
Long live dining.

Perfectly Frank
Perfectly Frank is a dining experience that alludes to the most traditional of American experiences. Tropical Smoothie Cafe
Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a pricey restaurant that offers many healthy meals, as well as smoothies that supply the nutrients you may not be getting in your daily diet when partaking in a meal at any other dining location.

Smoking Ban in Virginia Restaurants
A law will go into effect in Virginia on December 1, 2009 that will make it illegal to smoke in restaurants unless the room is separated by a wall or separately ventilated. This is quite the controversial measure passed by Governor Tim Kaine. Many restaurant owners are displeased with the government impeding on the people's rights, while others are happy to oblige with the new ruling. It is quite divided among who supports the matter and who is against it. This is understandably so, since tobacco is often considered a major part of Virginia's economy. This law is necessary, according to Governor Kaine, to protect employee and customer health at restaurants. This new restriction on smoking is expected to save large amounts of money for the state in health care due to illnesses stemming from smoking as well as second hand smoke.
